Set up your daily trip
Do this once and GoSEQ shows the right trip, at the right time, every day. You don’t type your trip in each morning.
Start with School or Work
When you first open GoSEQ it plays a short intro, then downloads the South East Queensland timetable once. Until you’ve saved a home and one destination, Home shows Let’s set up your trip.
- Pick School or Work and search for the address.
- Choose Regularly, so it repeats.
- Set Be there by, for example 8:30 am.
- Optionally set Head home after, so the afternoon trip appears too.
- Choose the days.
You can do the same later from Me → Places. Setup has a step you can skip at any point, and Me → Run setup again takes you back through it.
Pick the days that fit
For a school routine, School days follows the school-term calendar, so it stays quiet in the holidays and on pupil-free days. Weekdays skips public holidays. Every day and Pick days are there for everything else.
When a routine is off, the Home card says why (Public holiday, School holidays, It’s the weekend) and shows your next trip. If you’re not going today, tap Not going today. Undo brings it back.
Choose your usual bus
On Home, tap Choose your bus on the trip and pick your usual bus and a backup, or tap Let GoSEQ choose for me. If your usual bus doesn’t run that day, GoSEQ shows your backup or the best other way.
Get the walk right
- Put your home pin on your front door. Walks start and end there: Me → Places → Home, search the address again, then move the map.
- Spare time at the stop is 5 minutes unless you change it (Me → Walking: 3, 5 or 10). It’s why GoSEQ may tell you to leave a little earlier than you expect.
- If GoSEQ keeps picking a stop you don’t use, open the trip and tap Use a different stop.
Other trips, typed like a text
For anything that isn’t a routine, tap Where to? on Home and type it the way you’d say it: school by 8:30, city by 5pm tomorrow, from Roma St to the airport at 6. You can plan a whole day in one line and tap Remind me before each trip.
What happens next
Each morning Home shows one time, like Leave in 8 min, and counts down. The next guide, Leave-by countdowns and alerts, covers how it’s worked out and how to get reminded.
