Isaac Erathnage
Founder of GoAus · Brisbane
Isaac Erathnage is a Year 9 student at Brisbane Grammar School and a Brisbane student entrepreneur. He is the founder of GoAus, a public transport app built in Brisbane, and the founder and CEO of E&D Collective, a student-run tech company he builds his projects under.
GoAus
He catches Brisbane's buses himself. Knowing when the bus comes was never the problem; knowing when to leave was. So he built GoAus around one time to walk out the door, and a countdown to it.
GoAus started in South East Queensland and is now in testing across seven of Australia's eight states and territories: Queensland (including regional Queensland), New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT and the Northern Territory. It was called GoSEQ until 26 October 2026 and is now GoAus.
- Full trip planning: door-to-door trips across buses, trains, trams and ferries, including changes and the walk at each end.
- Leave-by countdowns: one clear time to walk out the door, with a live countdown.
- Get-off alerts: a buzz before your stop, so you can look up from your phone.
- Family trip sharing: share a trip with people you trust, or tell mates you're pulling up.
- Offline timetables: timetables stay on your phone when the signal drops.
- Its own arrival predictions: GoAus is training its own arrival-time model on real bus trips.
Live times, trip planning and the leave-time countdown are free; GoAus Pro adds extras. GoAus is published by E&D Collective and is independent of TransLink and the other transport agencies.
How GoAus is built
GoAus is one codebase that runs as a web app and as the Android and iPhone apps. It reads each state's official timetables and live transport data, and app updates ship over the air, signed, so riders get fixes without waiting for a store release. Isaac tests every change on his own daily trips.
E&D Collective
E&D Collective is the student-run tech company Isaac founded to build and ship real products, not school projects. GoAus is its main project and gets all of its time right now; the other projects are paused.
Earlier projects
Critiqo (paused)
An app that gives students strict, honest feedback on their essays against the marking rubric. It is paused while Isaac focuses on GoAus.
Student Systems (paused)
A school productivity platform for secondary students at studentsystems.app. It grew to 105 student users by word of mouth, with a morning "daily brief", homework and grade tracking, flashcards and an AI learning assistant. It is paused while Isaac focuses on GoAus.
Collective Medical (paused, resuming 2027)
A fully managed website and online booking platform for GP clinics at collectivemedical.com.au: the clinic's whole website for a flat monthly price, with online appointment booking for patients and a dashboard for the clinic. Work is paused and planned to resume in 2027.
